Edible Marijuana Products - A Choice.

Contrary to inhaling, it is easy to overdose on edibles - so caution is advised. Delicious taste can lead you to take more than you need, resulting in a variety of unpleasant and possibly downright dangerous side effects.

Ingesting edible medical marijuana can be the perfect way for patients to self administer. It has a long-lasting effects and one dose is good for many more hours than by inhaling smoke or vapor. Additionally, there is no smoke in the lungs or the smoke smell on the clothing and hair.

While the ease of eating may be preferred to inhaling, there are some important things to understand about eating medicinal cannabis (read more: inhaling vs. ingesting). Most importantly, wait before taking a second dose, the first dose may take up to two hours before it starts to take full effect. Many patients describe how their impatience led to an overdose, and how unpleasant it was for them.
